The Anne de Solene Four Continents Collection is a beautiful design that looks contemporary, yet it is an historic design. Printed in blue on a white ground, the look is crisp, modern and very pretty. The Four Continents design combines a toile de jouy design of 1794, coordinated with a stripe. Both the toile and the stripe are done in blue, on a white ground. The Four Continents design is based on a Rubens painting created in the years 1610-15 in which the figures, animals and plants were allegories for the then four-known continents - Europe, Africa, Asia, and America.
